Another great trekking experience with 3rd Rock!

Manaslu Circuit via Barpak and Laprak was my second trek with 3rd Rock this year and it certainly exceeded my already high expectations. From Naba's prompt and helpful correspondence to our wonderful guide Surya and Sagar our exceptional porter this was the complete Himalayan trekking experience. Accompanied by my daughter who had trekked Annapurna with me 13 years ago we found Manaslu to be a spectacular trek particularly as we came closer to the Tibetan border where by chance we encountered a week long festival which only occurs once every three years. Surya anticipated all of our needs and always ensured we were well fed and in comfortable accommodation but most of all he again proved to be delightful company and a fund of local knowledge. We looked forward to his stories about Buddhism, Tibetan customs and folklore and after two wonderful weeks we were sad to say goodbye.
