I completed the 12-day Manaslu circuit trek with Third Rock Adventures. The trek was a challenging but fantastic experience to share with my father, who I trekked the Annapurna Circuit with several years ago. Our guide Surya greatly added to our experience, sharing fascinating insights into the local culture that we would not have discovered through reading guidebooks. He, along with our brilliant porter Saga, made sure that we had the best accommodation and food, and were well looked after. Thanks to the Third Rock Adventures team for arranging such a memorable experience. I look forward to coming back to Nepal in the future.

Why did you choose this trip?

I wanted to celebrate ending my doctorate with my father who I have trekked with in Nepal before. What a memorable experience we had : )

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

There were different highlights every day. One standout was going past a school as the children were let out and them giving me marigold flowers until my pockets and hands were full!

What would you advice other travellers?

The trek may be challenging at times but is so rewarding.
