I went on the Lo Manthang trek, Mustang through Third Rock Adventures to see the Tiji festival. Naba of Third Rock Adventures is very efficient, with great English and responds promptly to emails. To reach Mustang you need to be two people minimum and pay a hefty fee as the Nepali government want to protect the people of Mustang from mass tourism. Bimal helped me find a trekking partner and organised the co-ordination of all the visas and meeting my trekking partner. This company also organised the accommodation, food, sleeping bags, trekking poles, guide and porter. The trek was fabulous. Scenic Nepal Treks. They sent a guide up to Mustang a few weeks before the trek (not all places have phones) to ensure that we had decent accommodations because Lo Manthang has very limited accommodation. We were among the lucky ones as there was no room for the number of tourists who wanted to see this spectacular festival. Lovely experience, thanks.
