The Gokyo Lakes and surrounding area inspired me for another Himalayan trip

Being in the high Himalayas and seeing the view like I saw from Gokyo Ri is like being in a piece of heaven. I really appreciate the helpful team and my guide Mr. Dol from Third Rock Adventures. There is a variety of Lakes in Gokyo. Research them well as they require a good amount of time to see and enjoy them. From the top of Gokyo Ri, you just can't imagine the beauty of the Lakes until you just sit and take it all in! On the way to the Renjo Pass you again skirt the main lake so take time to stop at the 'Green House' a few km's along the trek to enjoy the view. The 5th lake is another day's trek, behind Gokyo Ri and again if you have the time, it is worth the hike and the effort.
