Surya Tamang, a great guide trekking guide hailing from the Nuwakot district was born in 1994. He started his career in the tourism industry as an assistant guide at the early age of 16. It's interesting that Surya obtained his official trekking guide license at just 19 years old. His father who was a trekking guide for 39 years helped him hone his skill for his profession. And now Surya Tamang is one of the finest guides we have on our team who has successfully led hundreds of trekking groups in the popular trekking routes of Nepal. His major achievements include trekking over 50 times in the Manaslu region, Annapurna region, Langtang region and not to mention Everest region. It would be unfair not to mention his successful treks to remote and lesser-known treks like Rupina La trek, Ganesh Himal trek, Nar Phu Valley trek, Kanchenjunga Trek, and Dhaulagiri Round. He is well-recognized among the trekking guides in the tourism industry of Nepal.

In a career spanning more than decades, Surya has established himself as a highly experienced guide. He is also known for his determination and friendly demeanor. We know very few guides who could match his enthusiasm and grit. Every client who has been to the mountains with him has consistently praised his work and enthusiasm. He is a certified trekking guide from the Government of Nepal. He successfully completed English Language Course and Basic Rock & Ice Climbing & Mountaineering’ from Nepal Mountaineering Association. Furthermore, he has also completed several significant training including First Aid Training, Photography Training, and Skill Development Training program.
