Dharma Ojha is a trekking guide with an experience of more than a decade of leading treks in the Himalayas of Nepal. Born in the village of Chitwan, Dharma is one of the finest guides we have on our team. Dharma developed a love for trekking at a younger age. Growing up in a village, he was fascinated by the mountains and always dreamed of exploring the trail to the mountains. He used to hike around his village, and his obsession with the mountain led him to the mountains eventually. After completing his school, Dharma moved to Kathmandu to pursue his passion for trekking. Dharma started working as a porter, carrying heavy loads for trekkers and climbers. Over time, he gained valuable experience and learned the skill required to become a guide.
And now Dharma is a gem for our trekking company. He has led countless treks, from the popular Everest Base Camp trek to the lesser-known treks in Dolpa and Mustang regions. Everest Base Camp Trek, Annapurna Circuit Trek, Annapurna Base Camp Trek, Upper Mustang Trek, and Gokyo Lakes Trek are among the major treks he has done in his career. He has also assisted numerous expeditions to high-altitude peaks, including Mera Peak and Island Peak.
He is a certified trekking guide from the Government of Nepal. He successfully completed English Language Course and has participated in several pieces of training programs. He also participated in a first-aid training workshop and basic photography training. Furthermore, he has also completed several significant training including First Aid Training, high altitude risk training, and Skill Development Training programs.
Dharma is known for his deep knowledge of the mountains and his friendly demeanor. He speaks several languages fluently, including English and Hindi. He is always eager to serve the best service to international clients. He is attentive and funny as well. One of his greatest skill is that he adapts to changing situations and go above and beyond for the satisfaction of the clients. He is well-versed in the challenges of high-altitude trekking, and client safety is his utmost priority. His calm and reassuring presence has been a source of comfort for many trekkers facing challenging situations in the mountains. During his leisure, he loves to get involved in development and volunteering projects. Dharma's love for the mountain and his excellent guiding skills truly make him an exceptional guide.
