Hotel Mechi Crown has started service in Dhulabari, Jhapa. The hotel, which has been preparing to come into operation from April 1, had postponed the opening date due to the coronavirus epidemic and lockdown.
The hotel has been formally operational since Wednesday. Despite the global epidemic, the hotel has been informed by investors and a management team that the hotel will provide guests with its luxurious atmosphere and warm hospitality.
The hotel is located at Dhulabari in Jhapa, the gateway to eastern Nepal and a fast-growing business hub, 17 kilometers from the airport in Bhadrapur. The company believes that the hotel, located at a distance of 25 km from Bagdogra Airport in India, will make up for the lack of high-quality hospitality services in the region.
As there is no five-star hotel in the Indian border area, it is said that it will help in attracting foreign guests to Nepal. From here, Bangladesh is also a close country. The hotel has mentioned that even expensive tourists from the area can come to Nepal easily.
The hotel has a total investment of Rs 1.5 billion. A helipad has been built inside the hotel. The hotel can accommodate more than 500 vehicles at a time and has a total of 105 rooms.
The hotel will also have well-equipped halls for weddings, meetings, conferences, seminars, etc.
There are two restaurants. The hotel has stated that about 900 Nepalis will get direct employment here after the hotel and casino are fully operational.
