218,173 foreign tourists arrive in 10 months

Kathmandu, November 6

According to the statistics released by the Nepal Tourism Board, a total of 218,173 tourists arrived in Nepal in 10 months. Reportedly, it is 18.22 percent of the total tourists who visited Nepal in 2019. 1,197,191 international tourists visited Nepal in 2019.

As per the report, this year, 79,686 tourists visited Nepal in January, 101,400 in February, 34,025 in March, and a total of 3,062 from April to the end of October. 

Due to covid-19, the expected arrival of international tourists is unlikely to happen. However, the arrival of international tourists is gradually increasing in Nepal,  after the opening of Nepal for trekking and mountaineering activities.
