Kathmandu, May 11
A team including members of Bahrain's royal family has successfully climbed the world's highest peak, Mount Everest. The team reached the summit of Everest at 6.40 am on Tuesday, said Mira Acharya, director of the tourism department.
This is the first permission of the current season to climb Mt. Everest. The team had departed from the Seven Summits to climb Mt. Everest. They are the first International team to conquer the new altitude (8848.86m) of Mt. Everest.
The team included climbers, including Prince Mohammed Hamad Mohammed Al Khalifa of Bahrain. Earlier, Prince Khalifa had successfully climbed the Manaslu and Lobuche peak.
