The Annapurna Trail welcomed more than 2400 tourists in 3 months

2,475 foreign tourists have visited the circular Annapurna trail in three months.

Since January 2023 till now, around 2400 foreign tourists have come. According to Bahadur Gurung, tourism assistant of the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) tourist screening center in Dharapani, 40/50 tourists are coming every day.

"There are fewer and fewer tourists coming to this footpath at the moment, maybe because of the economic recession that is happening in the world," said Gurung.

After the coronavirus, tourists have not come as they have in the past. Padmarg tourism professionals are worried about the lack of tourists.

"The flourishing tourism business has been stopped for a long time due to the coronavirus infection, tourists have not been able to come like in the past since the ban was removed," said businessman Pancha Bahadur Gurung.

Tourists come to the Annapurna trail to see the Himalayas, mountain views, high mountains, customs of Manang people, and natural beauty and to climb Thorang Bhanjyang from Manang and go to Pokhara via Mustang.

Tourists come to climb and see various mountains and Chuli in Manang. The entrance to the Annapurna footpath is Lamjung Benisahar Municipality-7 Manange Chautara. Lamjung, Manang, Kaski, Mustang, and Myagdi districts are connected to this trail.
