One thousand tourists visit Tanahu's Byas Municipality-5 Manahunkot daily to watch the sunrise, which has gone viral on social media recently. Manahunkot, which has gone viral on social media including Facebook and Tik-Tok, is crowded with domestic tourists in the morning. The number of people staying in Manahunkot at night is also significant.
Manish Thapa of Chitwan informed that he reached Manahunkot in the morning after a lot of discussion on social media. "The view of sunrise and fog in the morning is captivating," he said, adding that "Manahunkot is truly breathtaking."
Vinesh Thapa, who arrived from Chitwan, said that the view from Manahunkot in the morning was beautiful and captivating. "I was more fascinated when I saw it with my own eyes than when I saw it in the video," he said.
Chief of Byas Municipality Vaikuntha Neupane said that the municipality is taking initiative for the publicity of Manahunkot. "Human tourism has gained momentum, and we need to come up with more plans for its development," Neupane said.
Construction of tourist infrastructure has also started in Manahunkot with the increase in tourist activity. The Byas Municipality has already started the construction of the observation tower at a cost of Rs 3.65 million.
The municipality plans to build additional infrastructure. A railing has been constructed on the side of the hill keeping in mind the safety of tourists coming from Manhundanda for sightseeing. From Manahunkot you can see the beautiful scenery of five mountains. Also Damauli Bazaar, Madi River, Sange Khola, Tanahu Hydropower Dam construction site and panoramic view can be seen from here.
Preparations have been made to keep one employee in Manahunkot from Wednesday for garbage management. With the increase in daily tourists in Manahunkot, garbage has also been dumped indiscriminately.
Ward Chairman Shrestha urged not to litter in Manahunkot and to manage the garbage in a certain place. "Come to visit Manahunkot, but don't diminish its beauty by littering indiscriminately," said Ward Chairman Shrestha. The Byas Municipality has also cleaned the place on Tuesday.
