Gorkha – A special yoga camp was held in Barpak and Laprak, organized by New Vision Nepal and Third Rock Adventures. Forty members of Leo Narayangarh took part in the event, which focused on the benefits of yoga and meditation for health and mental peace.
Ashok Sharma Bhatt, president of New Vision Nepal, and Sabnam Khadgi, secretary, led the camp by teaching "Hatha Yoga". Participants learned yoga postures, breathing techniques, and meditation to improve their physical and mental well-being.
The camp started with a traditional Kumari dance by Khadgi. Various yoga sessions included flexibility exercises, meditation, and breathing techniques (pranayama). Participants also experienced sound healing therapy, which helps in relaxation and mental stability.
Barpak-Laprak is an area still rebuilding after the earthquake. Bhatt said the camp aimed not just at physical health but also at mental and spiritual growth. He promised to organize similar programs in the future.
The camp motivated participants to focus on mental peace, better health, and spiritual well-being.
