One-Day Pokhara Tour: Sunrise at Sarangkot & Sightseeing

4:30 AM – Departure from Hotel
Your day begins early with a drive to Sarangkot, a popular viewpoint located about 30 minutes from Pokhara city. Sarangkot offers a panoramic view of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges, as well as Machhapuchhre (Fishtail Mountain).

5:15 AM – Sunrise View from Sarangkot
As the sun rises, the snow-capped peaks turn golden, creating a mesmerizing view. This is a perfect opportunity for photography and enjoying the tranquility of the mountains. On a clear day, you can see the Pokhara Valley below, with Phewa Lake shimmering in the morning light.

6:30 AM – Return to Hotel for Breakfast
After soaking in the sunrise, head back to your hotel for breakfast and some rest before starting the day’s sightseeing tour.

Mid-Morning: Boating & Temple Visit on Phewa Lake

9:00 AM – Visit to Tal Barahi Temple & Boating on Phewa Lake
Start your sightseeing with a peaceful boat ride on Phewa Lake, the second-largest lake in Nepal. The lake is famous for its reflection of Machhapuchhre and the surrounding hills.

In the middle of the lake lies Tal Barahi Temple, a two-story pagoda-style temple dedicated to Goddess Barahi. This is one of the most important religious sites in Pokhara. After offering prayers or simply admiring the architecture, continue your boating experience, enjoying the scenic beauty of the lake.

Late Morning: Exploring Pokhara’s Natural Wonders

10:30 AM – Visit to Davis Falls
Next, head to Davis Falls, one of Pokhara’s most famous waterfalls. Locally known as "Patale Chhango," this waterfall flows into an underground tunnel, creating a fascinating natural spectacle. The story behind the name comes from a tragic incident where a Swiss woman named "Davi" drowned in the waterfall while swimming.

11:00 AM – Explore Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave
Just across from Davis Falls is Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, a sacred Hindu cave temple. Inside, you’ll find a naturally formed Shiva Lingam, and as you go deeper, you’ll witness the underground view of Davis Falls. The cave is a mystical experience and an important pilgrimage site for devotees.

Afternoon: Culture & History of Pokhara

12:00 PM – Visit to International Mountain Museum
After exploring nature’s wonders, head to the International Mountain Museum, which showcases Nepal’s rich mountaineering history. The museum has exhibits on the world’s highest peaks, famous climbers, and the diverse cultures of the Himalayan region. It’s an insightful stop for those interested in Nepal’s mountaineering legacy.

1:00 PM – Lunch Break
Enjoy a delicious lunch at a lakeside restaurant with views of Phewa Lake. Pokhara offers a variety of cuisines, including Nepali, Tibetan, and international dishes.

Early Afternoon: Visit to Tibetan Refugee Camp

2:00 PM – Tibetan Refugee Camp
After lunch, visit the Tibetan Refugee Camp, where you can learn about the lives of Tibetan refugees in Nepal. Here, you’ll find local handicrafts, carpets, and souvenirs made by the community. The camp also has a monastery where you can experience Tibetan Buddhist culture and traditions.

Mid-Afternoon: Panoramic Views from Pumdikot & Lord Shiva Statue

3:00 PM – Visit to Pumdikot & Lord Shiva Statue
Next, take a scenic drive up to Pumdikot, a newly popular viewpoint offering a stunning aerial view of Pokhara city and Phewa Lake. The highlight here is the Lord Shiva Statue, one of the tallest Shiva statues in Nepal. Standing at 51 feet, this statue is a spiritual site as well as a fantastic spot for photography.

Late Afternoon: Peace & Serenity at World Peace Pagoda

4:00 PM – Visit to World Peace Stupa
The final stop of the day is the World Peace Stupa, perched on a hill overlooking Pokhara. Built as a symbol of peace by Buddhist monks, the stupa offers a serene environment and panoramic views of the Annapurna range, Phewa Lake, and the entire Pokhara Valley.

A short hike or drive will take you to this beautiful white stupa, where you can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and reflect on your day’s journey.
