Poon Hill Trek with Breathtaking Sunrise

For the first time trekkers like me I felt Ghorepani Poon Hill would be perfect. The team of Third Rock adventures was quick to reply and assured me that this trek would be prefect for beginners. The team was attentive towards my demands and made me feel comfortable. Indeed, it turned out to be one of the most amazing experiences which will remain with me for a lifetime. We shared the trail with mules which were transporting supplies to the villages. We had pretty decent weather with few rainfalls and hails. The weather got me worried for the sunrise but lucked out to witness awesome sunrise from the vantage point of Poon Hill. The hike up to Poon Hill was quite demanding but the sight was worth it. You could see the reddish orange sky and the sight of rays of early sun falling onto the snowcapped mountains was breathtaking. We spend almost an hour there basking in the serenity of the place. We got awesome views on the way to Ghandruk which compelled me to stop and enjoy the serenity. Rhododendron blooms added color to the otherwise green trail.
