Pasang Lakpa Sherpa is a veteran climbing guide with over 3 decades of experience. His years and years of experience are a testament to his expertise and commitment. In his over two decades-long career, he has climbed many mountains in Nepal, and Tibet. Pasang summitted the highest mountain in the world, Everest (8,848m) in 2000 from the Tibet side and since then he has led many expedition groups from different countries to the mighty Everest several times. He has also scaled Khajoa Ri (Tibet) in 2004. His long list of achievements includes climbing Mera Peak, Island Peak, and several other 7000m, and 6000m peaks in Nepal and Tibet.
Being born and bought up in the lap of Mount Everest- Solokhumbu, Pasang Lakpa Sherpa is one of the finest mountaineers we have on our team. Pasang always knew he had a heart for the mountain and at a very early age, he started following the expedition teams heading to Everest. He always wondered what they carried and how they summit the peak. His passion and enthusiasm led him to the travel industry when he was just 16 years old. He started working as a porter for a trekking company and over the year, he honed his skill to assist the mountaineering leader. Lucky for him, his relatives worked as mountaineers. It was in 2000 that he began his career as a climbing Sherpa. In the spring of that year, he led the Singaporean team to the top of the Everest from Tibet side and since then, he has guided numerous expeditions to some of the highest peaks in the world. He is an expert in mountaineering and has earned countless praises and recommendations for his excellent work.
Pasang has participated in several training and personal development programs. He has good language skills in English, Nepali, Tibetan, Chinese, Malay, and Hindi. His language proficiency has helped him a lot in his career as a mountaineering leader. Pasang holds a certificate in Mountain Rescue Operations and First Aid Training. He completed the "Trekking Guide" training conducted by the Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management (NATHM). He is an expert in his field and is trained to the highest industry standards. Talking about his technical skills, his climbing, rappelling, and rescue techniques are amazing. And with his skill, knowledge, and expertise, he has been able to provide his clients with a level of service and safety that is unquestionable.
