Shailesh has been guiding trekkers through the mountainous trails of the Nepal Himalaya for more than ten years. Having grown up in the hills of Gorkha, he has a deep understanding of the mountains and lifestyle of the people living there. He has guided several groups to Everest Base Camp and other destinations in the Everest, Langtang, Upper Mustang, Manaslu and Annapurna regions.
Shailesh is a trained and licensed guide. He has received Trekking Guide training from Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management (NATHM). He has also completed a course in eco-tourism and wilderness first-aid from KEEP (Kathmandu Environmental Educational Project). Knowledgeable, patient, caring and considerate he is particularly adept at guiding elderly groups and families with kids.
Although he has completed his High School in Business Studies his love for trekking didn’t let him pursue anything else. Friendly Shailesh along with a pleasant personality is quite famous among trekkers. He has a good command of Nepali, Hindi and English languages. Also, he has traveled to India .
