International airlines have started flying. Among them, Himalaya Airlines is said to be the first. The Himalaya Airlines airline has started its first flight to Beijing, the capital of China. The airline started the Kathmadu-Beijing flight for the first time on Tuesday.
According to Tribhuvan International Airport General Manager Premnath Thakura, the plane took off from Kathmandu at 10:40 am today and landed at Tasing International Airport in Beijing.
Himalaya Airlines will fly once a week to Beijing Tasing International Airport, the capital's new airport. China banned all international flights from March 1, 2020, after the Covid-19 epidemic.
Now along with China Southern Airlines, China Eastern Airlines, and Beijing Capital Airlines, Himalaya Airlines has also started flying. Among them, it is said that Himalaya will fly to the airport once a week from Kathmandu and China Southern will fly to Hong Kong three times a week. Now passengers can go to various countries in Europe, America, Asia, and Australia via Beijing.
For that, China has announced a 144-hour visa-free policy. The policy of the said period will be applied in Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei regions. Beijing's second international airport was opened for flights on October 27, 2019, but was closed five months later due to the Covid-19 epidemic.
