Day 1
Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400m/4,592ft) - Transfer to Hotel and Sightseeing

Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, Nepal. Upon arrival, our representative from Third Rock Adventures will welcome you and transfer you to the hotel. Freshen up and brace yourself for exciting sightseeing in the city of temples, Kathmandu. Immerse in the magical aura of three UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Nepal namely, Swayambunath, Boudhanath and Pashupatinath.

Witness the pristine Boudhanath Stupa that gracefully symbolizes the path towards enlightenment of Buddha. Let the peaceful energy of the colossal 36 meters high Boudhanath stupa seep in. Explore the entire area of the stupa which always seems to be full of life and grab some authentic Nepalese souvenirs. See for yourself why Boudhanath is regarded as one of the most imposing landmarks in Kathmandu.

Drive to one of the most sacred sites of Nepal, Swayambunath Stupa. With a history that dates back to the 13th century, the mesmerizing stupa with a shining golden shrine resides atop a hill. Visit one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Bhaktapur Durbar square which served as the Royal’s residence until 1769. Located right at the heart of Bhaktapur city, the durbar square remains intact and offers a pure feel of medieval Nepal.

Visit the oldest Hindu temple of the valley, Changu Narayan. Built in the 4th century, the temple is remarkably built in Pagoda style and is devoted to Lord Vishnu. Drive to one of the most scenic places of Bhaktapur, Nagarkot. Witness panoramic views of eight Himalayan ranges out of thirteen ranges of Nepal. Overlook the beautiful city of Kathmandu. Arrive in Paro and Drive to Thimphu - 1:30 hours (55km) drive

Arrive at Paro International Airport, Paro which is regarded as one of the most daring international airport in the world. Upon arrival, our Bhutanese guide will welcome you and transfer to the hotel. After lunch, drive to Thimphu, the capital and largest city of Bhutan.

Check in to the hotel and embrace the warm welcome from the hospitable hotel staff. Freshen up and brace yourself for visiting some major tourist attractions of Bhutan. Visit the famous King’s Memorial Chorten and feel the holy vibe imparted by the place. Pay a visit to the top choice Buddhist temple in Thimphu, Changangkha Lhakhang.

Step into the peaceful world of Buddha point while relishing the stunning view of the Southern entrance of Thimphu. Visit Tashi Chhoedzong in the evening. Famous as the ‘Fortress of Glorious region’, the fortress is a noteworthy masterpiece of Bhutanese architecture.

Day 4
Drive to Paro Hike to Taktsang (Tiger Nest’s) Monastery (3,120m/10,260ft) and Paro Tour -1:30 hours (55km) drive and 5 to 6 hours hike

Taksang Monastery Bhutan Taksang Monastery Bhutan - Sacred Buddhist site located in Paro and constructed in 1692

This day marks the most exciting part of the trip as you will hike to the iconic tourist hub of Bhutan, Taktsang Monastery. The monastery is built on the side of a rocky cliff about 900m above the Paro valley. Famous as the ‘Tiger’s Nest Monastery, the Taktsang monastery falls under the top 20 must-visit places in the world.

Enjoy stunning views of the surrounding lofty mountains and the Paro valley from the peak point of the monastery. Explore the beautiful paintings depicting the stories of the eternal deities. Discover the great Bhutanese history and the famous belief of the monastery's formation by Guru Rinpoche (Padmasambhava).            

The hike to the Taktsang Monastery is a moderate graded hike. Anyone with a good health condition and average fitness can easily do this hike. The trail is quite steep at some places but does not require any technical climbing. The entire hike can be completed within 5 to 6 hours. Make sure that you walk at your own pace, and bringing hiking poles can be helpful. Wear sturdy hiking boots and keep yourself hydrated.

Visit one of the most beautiful dzongs in Paro, Paro Dzong. Commonly known as ‘Rinpung Dzong’, the fortress was constructed on the foundation laid by the acclaimed Guru Rinpoche under the command of Zabdrung Ngawang Namgyal. The fortress was actually built to keep an eye on the invasion activities of Tibet.

Stroll through the old town of Paro. See the enthusiasm of the locals for their national sports, archery, with a visit to a local archery ground.

Day 5
Final Departure from Paro

On this day, our Bhutanese guide will transfer you to Paro International Airport as per your departure flight schedule. Take a flight back to your destination with a handful of memories that you will cherish forever.
