Trip Overview

Shortest Bhutan Tour offers you an excellent opportunity to explore Bhutan's popular places within a short stay in this magical "Land of the Thunder Dragon."

The '3 days Short Bhutan Tour' begins with a short drive to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. The first stop will be the King's Memorial Chorten, a memorial built in 1974 to honor the third kind who wished to erect a monument to world peace and prosperity. This stunning structure is considered one of the famous religious landmarks in Bhutan. After that, you will head towards Buddha Point (Kuesel Phodrang). Here you will witness the giant Buddha Dordenma, the largest statue of Sakyamuni Buddha in the country.

Another most important attraction is the fortress of Thimphu, Tashichho Dzong. It is an architectural delight and houses the throne room. This fortress is open to visitors after office hours on weekdays and opens in the daytime on weekends. You may visit this religious fortress and learn more about the traditional Bhutanese construction method of dzongs, houses, and bridges.

In the evening, you can walk around the Thimphu main street and market area. You can explore the local crafts Bazaar full of hand-woven textiles, thankas, paintings, masks, ceramics, wood carvings, jewelry, and plenty of local handmade items.

The next day, you will start a short drive to Paro, one of Bhutan's prominent tourist places. It is one of the fascinating towns in Bhutan, located on the west side of Thimphu, a capital city. It is a town full of sacred buildings, monasteries, monuments, and, most importantly, Bhutan international airport.

Undoubtedly, Bhutan is not complete until you hike to Tiger's Nest, a remarkable Buddhist Monastery. The most alluring monastery stands at the cliffside of the upper Paro valley at an altitude of 3,120 meters above sea level.

Also known as "Paro Taktsang," this is the most sacred and essential pilgrimage site for Buddhists in Bhutan. It is believed that in the 8th-century, the Guru Padmasambhava (also known as Guru Rinpoche) flew from Tibet to this cave and meditated for 3 years, 3 months, 3 weeks, 3 days, and 3 hours.

You will witness many colorful prayer flags that emit positive spiritual vibrations along the trail to Tiger's Nest. You will see many monks meditating around the monastery. You can also have a conversation with one of them. Talking with monks is always worth your time as they help bring the human side to a spiritual story.

From the top of the monastery, you will get a panoramic view of the entire Paro valley. Other major places like Rinpung Dzong, Kichu Lhakhang, and the National Museum are also the center of attractions in this short tour to Bhutan.

Further, you can also explore the main market of Paro and purchase a few souvenirs to take back home. Lastly, you can end your day by enjoying traditional Bhutanese cuisine or Tibetan food such as momos, dumplings, Thukpa. Finally, this Shortest Bhutan Tour of 3 days ends as you depart back to the Paro International Airport on the third day.

We will help you make the most out of your three days in Bhutan. Even though this is a short tour, you will enjoy the natural and cultural beauty of Bhutan.

A Journey to Bhutan's Heart: Unveiling Wonders with Third Rock Adventures

Embarking on the shortest 3-day Bhutan tour with Third Rock Adventures turned out to be a journey beyond my wildest expectations. It all began with a glowing recommendation from a fellow traveler I met in the USA, and I can confidently affirm that the commendation was well-deserved. From the moment I expressed interest in this adventure, Naba, our tour organizer, displayed an unparalleled level of dedication. His involvement extended far beyond the standard tour logistics, as he meticulously addressed all my queries and concerns. Naba's profound knowledge of Bhutan's cultural nuances and geography shone through, making the planning process an enlightening experience. The tour itself was a carefully crafted tapestry of Bhutanese wonders. In just three days, we delved into the heart of Bhutan's rich heritage, exploring iconic landmarks and immersing ourselves in the warmth of the local communities. The itinerary struck a perfect balance between cultural immersion and breathtaking natural beauty. What truly set Third Rock Adventures apart was the personal touch infused into every aspect of the journey. Naba's recommendations for local eateries allowed us to savor authentic Bhutanese cuisine, adding a delightful flavor to our travel experience. Throughout the tour, Naba's assistance went beyond expectations. His guidance was instrumental in navigating the intricacies of Bhutan's cultural etiquette, ensuring that our interactions with locals were respectful and meaningful. This thoughtful approach created a bridge between us, the visitors, and the vibrant tapestry of Bhutanese life. As the three days in Bhutan drew to a close, a new desire took root. I expressed my interest in extending my journey to Nepal and exploring the famed Poon Hill. Naba, once again, proved to be an invaluable resource. He seamlessly organized my flight to Nepal and orchestrated a captivating tour to Poon Hill, showcasing the breathtaking beauty of the Annapurna region. Naba's assistance extended beyond professional courtesy; it reflected a genuine passion for creating transformative travel experiences. His expertise in coordinating the Nepal extension demonstrated the versatility of Third Rock Adventures and their commitment to facilitating seamless, multi-country adventures. The tour to Poon Hill was a poetic conclusion to my Bhutanese escapade. The panoramic views of the Himalayas left an indelible mark on my soul, and I couldn't help but marvel at the serendipity that led me to Third Rock Adventures and, in particular, Naba. In retrospect, this journey was not just a vacation; it was an odyssey guided by the expertise and warmth of Third Rock Adventures. Naba's unwavering commitment to ensuring every aspect of the trip was flawless transformed a brief Bhutanese sojourn into an unforgettable chapter in my travelogue. For anyone seeking not just a tour but an immersive and soul-stirring experience, I wholeheartedly endorse the shortest 3-day Bhutan tour with Third Rock Adventures – a voyage where every moment is crafted with care and infused with the spirit of exploration.

¡Altamente recomendado!

Great Bhutan Tour

I loved this tour of Bhtuan, short and sweet one. Although it's short, it is powerpacked with rewards as it lets you explore major landmarks in Bhutan. I being from Canada found the climate completely different but I loved the most. The company managed every little request as Naba promised me. I only got to know the price for this tour after exchaning a couple of emails and it was good cost. Naba also was ready to customize this itinerary but I sticked to it as it was ridiculously good itinerary.

Great time in Bhutan for 3 days

Did this 3-day Bhutan tour and loved it. How come I have only 3 4 days leave and they offer the exact itinerary; highly thankful to them for this tour. Everything was so well organized, the guide and the driver made it extremely easy and comfortable throughout our stay. They were also very flexible about our schedule, they didn't mind staying late with us. The car they used was new and quite spacious, made the journey everywhere very comfortable. Both hotels we stayed in were very clean and comfortable. All in all, 5 stars service, I was very impressed.

3 day Bhutan tour

Shortest Bhutan Tour, the name of the trip describes it. It was possibly the shortest trip but get to know and do all the basics of Bhutan. Great guide and driver and the way it was planned let me use the time and not wasting it since is was a short stay, I would recommend doing this trip if you are short of time but I would definitely recommend taking more time in this beautiful country. If you want do to longer trek, they operate Bhutan Culture And Nature Tour With Hiking for 10 Days (suggested to me by the travel consultant but I stick to this 3 days tour)
I had only 3-4 days and I had no option other than this
Off course hike to Tiger Nest’s Monastery.
If you want to explore Bhutan in a few days, this is the best tour for you

Excellent staff and service

I travelled to Bhutan for 3 days with my wife. From booking to final departure Third Rock Adventures had our back! Their staff went above and beyond to ensure we had time of our life. Leena helped us in booking the flights from Delhi to Bhutan and back. The driver and guide in Bhutan went above and beyond in the same way. They even took us to hospital when we had dreaded food poisoning and we were okay in one evening! They were there for us all the time and we felt as if we were travelling with family friends and not tour operators! The hotels all had amazing views and we felt they were hand picked for us! Nice weather, good time to visit, pre-trip information was useful and helped us a lot. We had a never-expected wonderful trip!
