After the pre-trip meeting, at 8 am, we will drive to Chandragiri cable car station. It will take about an hour to reach there from Thamel. We will enjoy our cable ride to the top of Chandragiri Hill. On a clear day, we can embrace the stunning views of Ganesh Himal, Manaslu, Langtang range and surrounding peaks.
On your way back, you can either get back on the cable car or hike downhill through lush forests. Visit and pay homage to Valeshwor Mahadev Hindu Temple. After having a delicious lunch, get down to the bottom station where your private car is waiting to take you back to your hotel. This private cable car tour takes approximately 4 to 5 hours to and from the hotel.

My friend Tekraj suggested me to visit Chandragiri Hills while in Kathmandu. So I headed to the hill with one of the guides from Third Rock. It was raining that day but the guide made it interesting by sharing his daily lifestyle in Kathmandu and his tamang culture. He also made me try local momo and chiya (tea). After the weather was clear, we took the cable car to the hill, visited a temple there and got back to my hotel. It was a great day.
