Kathmandu Valley and Chandragiri Hills Excursion Tour - 4 days

As you land in the city of temples, Kathmandu in Nepal, you will be surrounded by views of majestic mountains and green hills. Following your customs at the Tribhuvan International airport, our representatives will drop you at the hotel.

After relaxing at the hotel, we will head out for a tour around the famous places within the city. You will be visiting Kathmandu Durbar Square that shows the reminiscence of the ancient reigns of the Shah dynasty. Visit the ancient palace turned museum and the different temples around the courtyards.

From there, continue to Swayambhunath/ Monkey Temple, a Buddhist pilgrimage located in the western hills of the city. From the hilltop, you can witness the views of the city below.

Head back to the hotel for a welcome dinner.

Begin your morning with breakfast and views of the surrounding mountains. Follow with a city tour around the religious sites situated in the northern outskirts. You will visit the Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, dedicated to Lord Shiva. Explore its vicinity and the innumerable shrines and temples. Boudhanath is next on the list as it is one of the largest stupas in Nepal and the most revered Buddhist pilgrimage site. Circle the dome and witness the Tibetan Buddhist locality, food, dress, and traditions.

From there, take a drive to the oldest city in Nepal, Bhaktapur. Explore the golden gate, Nyatapola temple, shrines, and courtyards. Witness the palaces of the ancient Malla dynasty, which have now been turned into art museums.

If time permits in the afternoon, go to the Patan Durbar Square situated in the Lalitpur district. Visit the Krishna temple in the courtyard, palaces that have now been turned into museums.

Morning drive will take you to the southwestern region of the valley. An exciting day lies ahead as you will be heading to one of the most beloved hilltops in the valley, Chandragiri. You will reach the base of the hill from where you will catch the cable car ride to the top of the hill station. The cable car distance is about 2.4km which takes around 9 minutes.

Chandragiri is situated at an elevation of 2551m. Due to the recent developments in the area, it has gained high popularity from the locals and tourists. Atop the hill is Bhaleshwor Mahadev temple, which is highly revered. Moreover, you can witness the 180-degree panoramic views of mountain ranges from the tower, including Manaslu, Langtang, Ganesh Himal, and more. After exploring the area, you can sit down in one of the gardens and enjoy the view while having lunch or snacks.

In the evening, head back to Kathmandu to enjoy the evening market in Thamel. You can enjoy a pub, club with your friends and family, or opt for souvenir shopping.

On your final day in Kathmandu, Nepal, we will bid farewell to you after your successful trip here and hope for your early return for similar adventures.
