Langtang short and easy trek is the closest trekking destination to the capital city, from Kathmandu. It is a relatively new tranquil trekking route in the Langtang region. This trek provides a glimpse of Tamang culture and an opportunity to connect with locals. Possessing all the beauty of the Langtang region, this trek is best suited for novice and time-limited travelers. This Langtang trek might be short and easy, but it’ll offer you adventure while experiencing true wilderness in the great Langtang National Park.
You'll begin your 6 days Langtang short trek by a scenic overland journey to Chilime village via Syabrubesi. Next, the walk continues from Chilime to Tatopani. After taking a hot bath, you'll continue to the breathtaking alpine meadows of Nagthali Gyang. It is best known for its best mountain views, making it a splendid place to explore the scenic beauty of the Langtang region. You'll get a stunning canvas of lofty Himalayan peaks like Langtang, Ganesh Himal, and other neighboring Tibetan peaks.
Further enjoying the panoramic sunrise along with Ganesh and Langtang Himal, you'll trek to the charming Tamang settlement of Thuman. And then you'll continue walking till you join the ancient trade route from Tibet along the Bhote Koshi river down to Syabrubesi village. The following day you'll drive back to Kathmandu. You'll end this short yet adventurous Langtang short trek with the final flight back to your home country.

Langtang Short and Easy Trek Route Map
Upon your arrival at Kathmandu International Airport, one of the representatives of Third Rock Adventures will welcome you and help you transfer to the hotel. After getting refreshed, you’ll visit our main office to attend a small trip meeting. In this session, you'll get a brief idea regarding the trip itinerary. You can put your doubts and queries. Later you can explore the neighborhood and learn some Nepalese culture and lifestyle.
Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
Today you'll head toward Chilime via Syabrubesi. Most of the trek of the Langtang region starts from Syabrubesi village. Early morning your guide will pick you up from the hotel, and later, you'll drive to Syabrubesi. The journey is pleasant, but some sections of roads are bumpy, simultaneously making it fun and adventurous. While going through the countryside, you pass some beautiful local settlements, dense forests, green hills, flowing rivers, etc. Next, continuing your road journey, you'll arrive at Chilime.
Overnight stay in Chilime.
Start your trek early morning after breakfast. You'll begin your hike on a forest trail, traversing through a suspension bridge, and reach Tatopani. This village name means 'hot water' in Nepali. You can enjoy the hot water bath in natural hot springs. Local believes that this hot water heals aches and pains.
Afterward, you'll continue your walk toward Nagthali Gyang, the trek's highest point. The trail gradually ascends to Nagthali danda, a vast open grassland offering fabulous Himalayan scenery. Traversing through charming Brimdang village, you'll arrive at Nagthali Gyang. It is a concealed gem that blesses your eyes with majestic views of the towering Himalayas like Langtang, Ganesh, Shishapangma, and other Tibetan peaks. This viewpoint will steal your attention and make you fall in love with the unbounded beauty of nature in the Langtang region.

You'll wake up with a magnificent sunrise view over Langtang and Ganesh Himal range. After enjoying a hot breakfast with fabulous mountain scenery, you'll descend to Thuman village. It is another remarkable Tamang village where you'll get a glimpse of the local lifestyle heavily influenced by Tibetan people. Later the trail gets connected with the ancient trade route from Tibet. Walking along the Bhote Koshi river, the path leads down to Syabrubesi.
Overnight stay in Syabrubesi.
Today you'll drive back to Kathmandu. Though the bus ride will be bumpy, you'll cross through scenic terrain, lush green forests, terraced fields, and hills. Upon arrival in the capital city, you'll transfer to the hotel. Later, you can explore the Thamel area and enjoy live music in any one of the nightclubs. Also, you can do some souvenir shopping at several shops for jewelry, handicrafts, Khukuri knives, cashmere shawls, singing bowls, etc.

Waving a final goodbye, you'll head toward Kathmandu International Airport. It is good to be at the airport three hours before your departure.
