Best Time for Easy Treks in Nepal

Now that you know the ten best easy treks in Nepal, you must as well know the best time for those treks. As a rule of thumb, spring and autumn are the best seasons for trekking in Nepal because the weather and temperature remain pleasant throughout the day. The clear day grants favorable circumstances and bestows stunning views of the mountains. Additionally, it is the time of the year when the trails in the Himalayas are at their best. In a nutshell, trekking during the spring and autumn seasons reward the best trekking experience.

However, you can do the easy treks all year round. For these treks, you don't need to conquer higher altitudes or walk for long hours. These treks don't cover serious mileage and take a week or ten days, and some treks have a 3-day itinerary. So, you can do the trek in winter as well. But we strongly recommend you to go for the best time of the year for these treks.

Essential Tips

  • Unlike long-and-hard treks, needless to say, beginner trekkers and families with young children can do the trek without any complications. This means that you (or your children) can start with these treks.
  • Generally, the itinerary of the easy trek is shorter. However, you can customize your itinerary based on your preferences.
  • For easy treks, you don't have to hike for hours and weeks. So, you can opt for light backpacking. But don't forget important things.
  • You know it: avoid alcohol and smoking during trekking.
  • If you are trekking over 2,500m, familiarize yourself with Altitude sickness (AMS).
  • Carrying a first aid kit, personal medications, and toilet paper is as important as staying hydrated while trekking.

Conclusion

Nepal calls thousands of trekkers and adventurers alike for some of the most popular treks in the world, like Everest Base Camp Trek and Annapurna Circuit Trek, which are fairly long and somehow difficult for beginners trekkers. However, first-time trekkers and families with children can opt for the easy treks we listed above that are ideal and apparently among the popular treks. Poon Hill Trek, Everest Panorama Trek, and Ghandruk trek, though easy treks, are some of the best treks Nepal has to offer. These easy treks are doable by anyone and unquestionably offer a great trekking experience.
