Detailed Itinerary

Day 1
Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400m/4,592ft)

The ‘city of temples’ welcomes you as you land at the Tribhuvan International Airport terminal. Our representatives will greet you and transfer you to your hotel located in Thamel, just 6 km from the airport. After taking some rest, you can visit our office located nearby to meet with your guide and the team.

Depending upon your time of arrival, you can begin the guided tour around Kathmandu Durbar Square also known as Basantapur or Freak Street. Visit the Hanuman Dhoka Museum, and explore the different temples around the alleyway to understand the Newari culture and religion.

Day 2
Helicopter Tour to Everest Base Camp – 4 to 5 Hours, then Culture walk around Kathmandu Durbar Square


On one of the most exciting days of the tour, you will begin with an early drive to the domestic airport terminal. Board on a mesmerizing helicopter tour to Everest Base Camp. You get a distinct bird’s eye view of four of the highest mountains in the world above 8,000m like Lhotse, Cho Oyu, Makalu, and Mt. Everest, the tallest mountain in the world.

The helicopter will land briefly at Everest Base Camp where you will have your breakfast while taking the breathtaking views of the Himalayas of Khumbu. Following the amazing experience, return on the flight to Kathmandu.

Late afternoon you will be taking a cultural walk and taking a stroll around the streets of Ason and Indra Chowk to explore the ancient alleyways.

Day 3
Flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara (800m/2,624ft), Drive to Kimchi and Trek to Ghandruk (1,940m/6,364ft) - 25 minutes flight, 2 hours 30 minutes drive, and 2 hours (2 km) trek

An early morning flight takes you to the "city of lakes", Pokhara to the west of Kathmandu. Upon reaching Pokhara, you will be driven to Kimchi which is the initial base for your trek to Ghandruk.

The beginning of the trek takes you along villages, waterfalls, and many stone stairways that ascend and descend before reaching Ghandruk, the second largest village occupied by Gurungs- an ethnic community. There are many hotels and huts stacked on the hills from where views of the northwestern Himalayas are visible. Not to forget that the stays will be at luxury lodges by Ker & Downey with all exclusive amenities and services.

Day 4
Excursion Day at Ghandruk

Ghandruk Village Ghandruk Village- Second largest village occupied by Gurungs- an ethnic community

On this day you will take a short morning hike around the village. You can visit the Gurung Culture Museum to witness the ancient Gurung traditions. You can also wear the traditional dress which can be hired to click pictures. Walk across farmlands and local communities, and visit the nearby school before returning to your lodge.

Interact with the locals to understand more about their heritage and also try out their unique dishes.

Day 5
Trek from Ghandruk to Majgaun (1400m/4620ft) - 4 to 5 hours

After having breakfast, you will make your way for the short trek to Majgaun. On the way, you will be crossing the Modi River via a bridge. Eventually walk by the stone staircase towards Shauli Bazar which is a small village that has routes to other nearby trekking destinations.

After an hour, surrounded by the closeup views of Annapurna, Majgaun, a small village will appear.

Day 6
Trek from Majgaun to Dhampus (1650m/54,13ft) – 4 to 5 hours trek


Trek to Dhampus begins with a straight walk through Patlekhet farmlands then a hike through thick forests of rhododendron and oaks. Mt. Macchapurchre will follow you throughout the way.

In a while, you will reach Deurali where you can have lunch and enjoy the mountain views before sprinting again towards Dhampus. Dhampus is a famous trekking spot in western Nepal because of the amazing closeup views of the Annapurna Massif.

Day 7
Trek to Phedi (1130m/3,707ft) – 3 hours trek, then drive to Pokhara (800m/ 2,624ft) – 30 minutes

After having breakfast, take a short hike from Dhampus to Phedi which will be our final trek for this tour. Passing by lush forests, then small scattered villages and waterfalls, reach Phedi. From there, you will be driven to Pokhara city.

After relaxing at your hotel, you can spend the afternoon tasting different local cuisine, and most importantly boating at Phewa Lake. In the evening enjoy dinner at the lakeside and enjoy the lights and performances.

Day 8
Free day in Pokhara and Momo making class

You will have a relaxing day in Pokhara which you can enjoy by taking a visit to one of the many spas and yoga centers to rejuvenate your sore muscles from the trek.

Then sometime in the afternoon, the day gets exciting as you will be taking a unique momo-making class. Your guide will take you to the host’s place where you will learn about the art of making authentic Nepali dumplings. You will learn about preparing the filling, wrapping it, and even making the amazing chutney before eating the momos. This will be a unique cultural experience and understanding of Nepali cuisine as well as culinary history.

Enjoy your last evening in Pokhara by heading to the bars and clubs.

Day 9
Drive to Chitwan (415m/13,61ft), then canoeing in Rapti river – 5-6 hours drive

Yet another exciting day awaits you because you will be driving to the east of Pokhara towards Chitwan, the "heart of the jungle". After dropping off your belongings at the hotel, the guide will escort you around the village inhabited by the ethnic and indigenous Tharu community. You can try out their local braised duck, snail soup, and more.

From there, you can enjoy sunset views from the banks of the Rapti river that flows in Sauraha, the eastern gateway of Chitwan. You might witness Gharials, a large snouted crocodile, in the waters.

Day 10
Enjoy Jungle Safari at Chitwan National Park


After having breakfast, get ready to enjoy an exciting encounter with nature and wildlife. There will be a jeep to pick you up at the hotel and take you on a Jungle Safari to the renowned Chitwan National Park, which is the first national park in Nepal. Through the half-day safari, you will come across many wildlife like one-horned Rhinoceros, Wild Elephants, Antelopes, and perhaps a Bengal Tiger, if you are lucky enough.

After returning from the lush experience, you can head to the Elephant Breeding Centre to see Elephants being raised and protected.

Later in the evening, you can attend the Tharu Cultural Dance program where the Tharu community performs their unique stick dances, and acts wearing their cultural dresses.

Day 11
Experience Jungle Tower stay in Chitwan National Park

Today, you will experience the jungle up close by taking a guided walk around the Chitwan National Park. To ensure your safety, there are professional experienced guides with years of experience. You will get to explore the flora and fauna while on foot.

After the unique experience, in the middle of the jungle, we will take an overnight stay in the Jungle Tower which is built between woods and offers amazing views of the far-off jungle. From the tower, you will witness amazing wildlife. Staying the night in the jungle will be one of those unique experiences unlike any other you’ve had in Nepal.

Note: Please be flexible with a contingency plan in case the government decides to close the jungle tower due to certain circumstances.

Day 12
Flight from Chitwan to Kathmandu - 20 minutes

After an amazing time in Chitwan, take a short flight to Kathmandu city and drive to the hotel. After having some rest, there is ample time to do it during the afternoon. The best would be to do some souvenir shopping like Thangka paintings, dream catchers, Dhaka clothes, and more in Thamel.

Following that, you can explore the nearby locations and then enjoy the evening at a local club or bar.

Day 13
Heritage Tour and Food Tasting in Kathmandu

This day has been segregated to enjoy a sightseeing tour in Kathmandu’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites along with a unique food-tasting tour. After breakfast, we will begin the guided tour with a visit to Boudhanath Stupa in the northeast of the city. It is known to be one of the biggest stupas in Asia and is also surrounded by the Tibetan Bhutanese community.

From there you can visit the Pashupatinath temple which is one of the most significant Hindu temples, dedicated to Lord Shiva, in the world.

Then your next stop will be the Swayambhunath temple in the west of Kathmandu which is popularly known as the Monkey Temple. It is a mesmerizing dome sitting on a hilltop with panoramic views of the entire Kathmandu valley.

Finally, you can take a stroll around the Kathmandu Durbar Square to visit the Kumari temple which is the residence of the world’s only living female child goddess. 

After the heritage tour, you will spend the rest of the day and evening doing some food tasting. Some of the dishes you can try are Momo- Nepali dumplings, Choila- a famous Newari dish, Bara- lentil pancake, and many more.

Day 14
Cultural sightseeing around Patan and Bhaktapur Durbar Square

Another sightseeing tour awaits you on this day. An early morning drive will take you to the Newari Patan city to explore the Patan Durbar Square. You can visit the prominent Krishna Mandir, Bhimsen Temple, Vishwanath Temple, Taleju Mandir, and Patan Museum, among others.

To witness a similar yet slightly different Newari culture, you will then drive to Bhaktapur city to explore the Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Visit the Nyatapola Mandir, 55 Windows palace, Vatsala Temple, Bhairavnath Temple, and Art Museum in and around the courtyards. Also, make sure to taste the locally made “Juju Dhau” which translates to “the Kind of Curds”.

Following the sightseeing adventure, head back to your hotel for the night.

Day 15
Final Departure from Kathmandu

This is the final day in Kathmandu, Nepal so makes sure to do some last-minute souvenir shopping if needed. Following breakfast, our team will bid farewell to you and drop you at the international airport terminal.

Great Adventure

Beautiful TRIP

I am thankful to Naba and Dol for everything. I inquired for Mardi Trek but due to some reason and quite a long talk with Naba, I did this trip and didn't regret a bit.
