Your 11 days trip begins with exploring the historic Kathmandu city. Pashupatinath, a famous Hindu shrine of Lord Shiva, Swayambhunath- monkey temple, and ancient Patan durbar square are some of the major landmarks of Kathmandu sightseeing.
Next, you'll begin the Kongde trek adventure with a scenic flight to Lukla, a small Sherpa town. After landing at Lukla, the trail winds through the remote Sherpa villages and dense forests. On your way to Kongde village, you'll make a stop along with historic Sherpa settlements such as Namche Bazaar, Phakding, Monjo, and Thame.
Acclimatization day at Namche Bazaar allows you to visit the best vantage points of the region, such as Everest View Hotel and Syangboche Airstrip. You can also go Namche sightseeing. There are ancient monasteries, stupas, cultural museums, galleries, shops, cafes, where you can have a wonderful time. The trail to classic Everest Base Camp trek and Kongde trek separated from Namche Bazaar.
Further, leaving the main trekking route to EBC, you'll head to Thame village. From here, typically, the Everest Three High Passes trek continues. It is also home to some famous Everest climbers, including Tenzing Norgay and Apa Sherpa. On the way, you'll cross Same and Thamo villages. The trail is less crowded and leads towards a more remote region of Khumbu valley.
Afterward, from Thame, continue your walk through the off-beaten path. The trail takes you to the comfort lodge of Yeti Mountain Home lodge at Kongde (4,250m/13,944ft). From here, witness the astonishing panorama of Mt. Everest along with Thamserku and Ama Dablam.
Likewise, the prominent feature of the Luxury Kongde trek is staying in comfortable lodges for each of the overnights. Luxury Kongde Trek Map
Welcome to the land of Everest! Upon arrival at Kathmandu International Airport and completing airport formalities, a representative from Third Rock Adventures will escort you to the Dwarika's Hotel. Take your time to refresh, and after settle in, you can explore the hotel. While strolling around the hotel, you'll get an authentic experience of Nepal's ancient cultural heritage.
Later that evening, there will be a short meet-up for trip briefing covering all the essential aspects of the trek.

Patan Durbar Square
Visit some major culturally significant landmarks such as Swayambhunath, Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, and Patan Durbar Square. After a hot breakfast, begin your tour with a visit to Patan Durbar Square and Golden Temple in the Patan, Lalitpur. It is more fun to see beautiful ancient architecture. Newa people also had built so many Hindu and Buddhist temples and monuments around the area.
Extend your tour toward Swayambhunath, famous as Monkey Temple. The top of the temple offers you stunning panoramic vistas of the valley and city below. At the center of the temple sits a stupa surrounded by smaller shrines and temples.
Further, the Kathmandu tour proceeds to the Hindu temple of Pashupatinath. Also, the temple is a sacred pilgrimage center for devotees of Shiva. The area stretched along the bank of the Bagmati River and consists of more than 500 other small temples, ashrams, and living quarters. After completing your sightseeing tour, get back to the hotel and prepare for the next day's trip.

Lukla Bazaar, Solukhumbu
Fly early morning to Lukla from Kathmandu. Enjoy the short mountain flight with splendid views of dramatic landscapes and snow-clad peaks. Landing on the steep runway of Lukla will bring you to the main starting point of the trek.
From this small town, the trek commences entering through Pasang Lhamu Sherpa Memorial gate. Gradually the trail descends to Cheplung village, and you'll witness the striking scenery of the surging Dudh Koshi River. Crossing the suspension bridge over Thado Khola brings you the Ghat village. On the way, you notice the first mountain sight of Khumbila peak (5,761m/18,901ft).
Well, today's trek is relatively easy as the trail is flat. The trail continues toward the first stop of the hike, Phakding. The village has numerous ancient gompas, mani stones, prayer wheels. Once you reach Phakding, check into the Yeti Mountain Home. Located on the bank of the Dudh Koshi River, this lodge offers utterly beautiful scenery.

Namche Bazaar - A tourist hub, is the major meeting point for trekkers and mountaineers
After a delightful breakfast, begin your journey towards Namche Bazaar. Today, the trail continues on the forested area along the bank of Dudh Koshi River. You have to cross several suspension bridges. The spectacular mountain scenery completely dominates the entire route.
Further, walking through the small settlements of Benkar, Chumoa, and Monjo, arrive at the main entrance of Sagarmatha National Park. From here, the trail ascends through the dense forest and continues until you reach the Jhorsale village. This village is a confluence of the Dudh Koshi River and Bhote Koshi River.
Finally, the trail proceeds through the Tenzing-Hillary suspension bridge over Dudh Koshi River and concludes at Namche Bazaar. It is the prominent tourist hub in the Khumbu region. Here you'll find plenty of internet cafes, shops, restaurants, ATMs, and even Government offices.
Once you reach Namche, you can check into Yeti Mountain Home. Enjoy your deluxe accommodation with a hot, fresh, and organic meal.

Prayer wheels at Namche Bazaar
Namche is a great place to spend a day for acclimatization purposes. During Namche sightseeing, a must-visit spot is the Syangboche airport (3,780m), the highest airport in the world, and hike to Everest View Hotel. From the hotel, enjoy the amazing scenery of Mt. Everest and surrounding peaks.
Likewise, you can also choose to take a walk in Namche Bazaar. Visit the globally famous Sherpa Culture Museum, local schools, and Buddhist monastery. Yeti mountain home Thame
Leaving the main trail of Everest Base Camp behind, you'll head towards Thame village. The trekkers heading towards Renjo La Pass follow the ancient salt trading and pilgrimage route. Along the way, the fantastic scenery and iconic mountain vistas of the Everest region are always remarkable.
After few hours of walk through the forest trail, you'll reach the village of Thamo. The village is home to the famous Ang Rita Sherpa, who holds the record for climbing Mt. Everest ten times without oxygen. Continue your walk until you reach a deep gorge of Bhote Koshi River. Crossing the river over the well-built bridge, you reach today's final destination, Thame village.
Thame village holds historical importance as it has been home to many famous Everest climbers. Two of them are Tenzing Norgay, the first to reach the summit of Everest, along with Sir Edmund Hillary and Apa Sherpa, who has climbed the summit at least 18 times.
The charming village also has the ancient Nyingmapa monastery built by Lama Rolwa Dorje. Later, spend an hour in leisure and relax at Thame village, enjoying the enchanting views of Thamserku and Kusum Kanguru.

Yeti Mountain Home - Your lodge in Kongde
After a restful night at Thame, you are ready to start the day and head towards Kongde. Today you'll follow the new trail, built specifically for the Yeti Mountain Home Lodge. So, while trekking, you get to enjoy complete solitude on the trail as rarely other trekkers will share this route.
Even it's a new trail, it is well-built with some steep ground. In one short section, you have to use cables as handrails for your safety. Although there are some challenging portions, you'll get magical vistas of the Himalayas at the end of the day. Climb gradually through a forest of rhododendron, pine, and bamboo you reach the glacier of Kongde Peak. From here, you get the mouthwatering views of Everest, Ama Dablam, and Lhotse.
Once you reach Kongde, you'll check into your beautiful lodge. After a weary day, you can enjoy a hot shower and head outside for a drink with the best panoramas of the Everest region. You can't resist the jaw-dropping vista of mighty Everest and other peaks. Relax and enjoy the sunset behind the world's largest mountain. You can't get a better experience than this!

Today is another free day in Kongde village to experience the beautiful surroundings. You can go for an optional hike to Farak Ri at an altitude of around 4,800m. In addition, you'll also get the captivating scenery of the entire Khumbu valley.
After enjoying the beautiful moment at Farak Ri, you'll hike down to the lodge. The rest of the day will be free. You can explore nearby places or enjoy hot drinks with relishing the beautiful sunsets over the mountains. Take a moment to reflect on your day and enjoy a delicious dinner before settling in for a comfortable night's sleep.

Kala Patthar, also known as ‘The Black Rock’ is the highest point on your Everest Base Camp Trek
Instead of walking down to Lukla, today you'll take an exciting heli tour over Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthar. This mountain flight is just cherry on the top! Enjoy the unparalleled view of the tallest peaks of the Everest region and Khumbu Icefall from the air as you make your way to the Kala Patthar. After taking in some of the outstanding scenes from above, the helicopter will lower down to land at Kala Patthar.
You'll enjoy the 360-degree panoramic view and have some time to absorb the backdrop before boarding the helicopter to get back to Lukla.
