Trek to Kongde village, helicopter flight landing at Kala Patthar, and best luxury services and accommodations are the major highlights of this trek. In a short time frame with comfort and style, you'll experience the best of the Everest region in every possible way.

Your 11 days trip begins with exploring the historic Kathmandu city. Pashupatinath, a famous Hindu shrine of Lord Shiva, Swayambhunath- monkey temple, and ancient Patan durbar square are some of the major landmarks of Kathmandu sightseeing.

Next, you'll begin the Kongde trek adventure with a scenic flight to Lukla, a small Sherpa town. After landing at Lukla, the trail winds through the remote Sherpa villages and dense forests. On your way to Kongde village, you'll make a stop along with historic Sherpa settlements such as Namche Bazaar, Phakding, Monjo, and Thame.

Acclimatization day at Namche Bazaar allows you to visit the best vantage points of the region, such as Everest View Hotel and Syangboche Airstrip. You can also go Namche sightseeing. There are ancient monasteries, stupas, cultural museums, galleries, shops, cafes, where you can have a wonderful time. The trail to classic Everest Base Camp trek and Kongde trek separated from Namche Bazaar.

Further, leaving the main trekking route to EBC, you'll head to Thame village. From here, typically, the Everest Three High Passes trek continues. It is also home to some famous Everest climbers, including Tenzing Norgay and Apa Sherpa. On the way, you'll cross Same and Thamo villages. The trail is less crowded and leads towards a more remote region of Khumbu valley.

Afterward, from Thame, continue your walk through the off-beaten path. The trail takes you to the comfort lodge of Yeti Mountain Home lodge at Kongde (4,250m/13,944ft). From here, witness the astonishing panorama of Mt. Everest along with Thamserku and Ama Dablam.

Likewise, the prominent feature of the Luxury Kongde trek is staying in comfortable lodges for each of the overnights. The hotel rooms are quite spacious and have comfortable beds with a heated blanket to keep you warm all night long! The meals are also hygienic and organically prepared from the vegetables plucked from their greenhouses.

Moreover, while staying in Kongde, you can choose an optional day hike to Farak Ri at an altitude of around 4,800m/15,748ft. From the top, the panoramic sight of the entire Khumbu valley and four of the Highest Peak in the world (Everest, Makalu, Cho Oyu, and Lhotse) will stun you!

In addition, the Everest Heli tour rewards you with an amusing aerial perspective by hovering over points of interest. You'll fly right by the magnificent Everest Base Camp and Khumbu Icefall. The short joyride is the most thrilling part of your entire trip. So rather than trekking back on the same trail, you can enjoy a bird's eye view of the whole region by taking a helicopter ride back to Lukla.

The flight lands at a scenic lookout point at Kala Patthar. It is a famous vantage point above Gorak Shep that offers a 360-degree sight of panoramic mountain vistas. You'll witness some mountains like Mt. Everest (8,848m), Makalu (8,484m), Kanchenjunga (8,586m), Ama Dablam (6,812m), Lhotse (8,516m), Nuptse (7,816m), Thamserku (6,623), Pumori (7,161m), Khumbutse (6,636), etc. Enjoying the glorious sight, then fly back to Lukla.

PERFECT TREK
The joy of embracing the mountain from the comfort of heli is what attracted me to go for this trip. I had already done 1 trek with Third Rock Adventures and I was fully satisfied with their service. So this time as well I booked with them. My questions were addressed and my request of going with the same guide was granted. Instead of walking down to Lukla, we took an exciting heli tour over Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthar. And believe me the view was unreal. I was surrounded by the mountains. I was lucky that the weather was just perfect. The trekking part was great, we walked for 4 -5 hours each day through the beautiful trail in Everest region. There were plenty teahouses and lodge along the trek and I was assigned the best available teahouse. No complaint on food, and room as well. This time as well, my guide did his best job. We are now friends. 2 words to sum up my trek: PERFECT TREK. Thanks again Third Rock for this opportunity.

Enjoyed Trip with my sister
This trek is one of the best treks I have come across to dream about. I checked through the itinerary and the highlights of the trek, and it made me plunge to book this trek. But I needed someone with me to hit the trail. I had hard times conviencing my friends to go to Nepal and explore the mountain. Luckily my sister agreed to go when she heard the word "EVEREST BASE CAMP." She jumped with excitement when I mentioned a heli ride to Everest Base Camp (EBC) and Kala Patthar. We booked a month before we actually fly to Nepal. I helped my sister prepare for the hour-trek along the mountain trail. In Kathmandu, we met with the team and had brief pre-trek discussion. Our guide was great-he would care us like family member. Every daily service was good enough for us. We loved Namche Bazaar, a small town perched in the foot of Everest. The guide ensured that everything was according to the pre-defined itinerary. Glad that I was back to home on time and back to work with memories to be nostalgic for at least a week. Thanks Third Rock Adventures for your unparalleled service.

Incredible Trek
The heli tour was the most rewarding part of this itinerary. Infact, the heli tour fueled my excitement and happiness. I never had admired such close view of the mountains. The short hike to Kala Patthar was the best part of this adventure. My guide cleared me on the name of the mountains, but I forgot it by the time I was back in Kathmandu. Speaking of Kathmandu, I got a chance to explore the beauty of world-famed UNESCO world heritage sites in Kathmandu. Just before I took a flight to Ktm, I read a blog about Ktm stating " the chaotic impression" and it was true. Kathmandu is bustling with traffic, and busy streets. Overall, my trek was fantastic. My sincere thanks to my guide. He was truly amazing person.
