Nagi Gumpa
We will pick you up from your hotel at 8 am and drive you to Budhanilkantha, the gateway to Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park. It takes about 20 minutes to reach there from Thamel. We will pay homage to Budhanilkantha Temple, a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Mahavishnu. You will see a reclined huge statue of Lord Vishnu there. Hike from Pani Muhan gate to Shivapuri Hill through a tree-lined trail. The hiking trail lets you traverse the motorable national park road to reach Nagi Gumpa.
Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park
Nagi Gumpa, on the lap of Shivapuri forest, is the only monastery where nuns practice Buddhism. On the way, you can enjoy the splendid view of Kathmandu Valley. The next section of the hike takes you to Bhagdwar and, finally, the peak. Continue the steep uphill hike to Shivapuri. After walking for about 4 hours, you will finally reach the peak. Rest for a while, taking in the stunning view of Kathmandu valley and the Langtang range. We will slowly descend to Budhanilkantha. Our beautiful hike to the Shivapuri peak ends here.
